This collection contains: material regarding the Daughters of Charity; brochures regarding the Daughters of Charity National Health System; material relating the original hospitals run by the Daughters of Charity: Sisters Hospital, St. Mary's Infant Asylum and Maternity Hospital, Providence Retreat, Emergency Hospital, and St. Louise de Marillac Maternity Hospital; Charter; minutes; membership lists; legal documents; material relating to Sisters Hospital satellites (Sisters Hospital Amherst Center, St. Louise Health Center, St. Vincent's Health Center, Methadone STAR); records of the governing boards; records from various departments within the hospital; School of Nursing records; plans and architectural drawings; newspaper clippings; scrapbooks; publications; newsletters; booklets; chronologies of the hospital; photographs; slides; audio cassettes; video cassettes; and reel-to-reel film. There are blueprints that show how the city's rapid transit system and Humbolt Parkway could have affected Sisters Hospital had protests not prevented the change.
